This role involves working closely with vendors, internal teams, and project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Industrial Buyer/Purchaser Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to meet the company's requirements for materials, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable conditions for the company.
• Develop and maintain a network of reliable suppliers to ensure a consistent and efficient supply chain.
• Place purchase orders for required materials and services, ensuring accurate specifications and timely delivery.
• Monitor order status, track shipments, and resolve any issues or delays with suppliers.
• Analyze and compare supplier quotes to determine the best value for the company.
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring that spending aligns with financial targets and project budgets.
• Implement cost-saving strategies and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analyses, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide timely solutions. Industrial Buyer/Purchaser Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must be familiar with procurement of raw steel, rigging, wire ropes, coatings, etc.
