Senior Property Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant with 3+ years of commercial real estate property accounting experience for our Houston area client. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Yardi and/or MRI and have experience with both development and operating properties.

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Property Accountant role:

• Generation of monthly and quarterly financials for each assigned property.
  
• Preparation of property reconciliations and budgets, including providing variance explanations.
  
• Work directly with tenants on refunds and collections.
  
• Preparation of journal entries on a regular basis and tracking of payments for capital expenditures.
  
• Maintain schedules for amortization, tenant improvements, and escrows.
  
• Collaborate with acquisitions and legal teams to analyze lease obligations.
  
  • Other ad-hoc requests.
    Primary qualifications include:
    • 3+ years of commercial real estate property accounting experience.
      
    • Proficiency with Yardi and/or MRI.
      
    • Experience with development draws and construction finance agreements.
      
    • Accounting/Finance degree strongly preferred.
