Job SummaryCenterPoint Energy is looking for a Director of
Workplace Services Management to join our Corporate Services Team,
located in Houston, Texas. You will have the ability to: oversee
the strategic planning, development, and management of all
workplace services, including corporate real estate and capital
project management, to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive
work environment. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong
background in facilities management, workplace strategy, corporate
real estate, project management, and team leadership.Essential
FunctionsTo be successful in this role:
- Develop and implement workplace and real estate strategies that
align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance and operations of all company
facilities.
- Manage the company's real estate portfolio, including
acquisitions, leases, and disposals.
- Lead and oversee capital projects from inception to completion,
ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within
budget.
- Manage space allocation and utilization to optimize the work
environment.
- Manage contracts with external service providers.
- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring
cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and
promote a culture of safety.
- Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency and
sustainability within the workplace.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of
collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and business
continuity strategies. Education DescriptionYour background
includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate,
Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited
university. Relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu
of a degree. Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management,
workplace services, corporate real estate, or capital project
management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best
practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal
skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and contracts.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and energy
management.
- Ability to think strategically and implement innovative
