Our law group is growing and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You'll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities:

--- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases

--- Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
--- Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
--- Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
--- Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
--- Minimum billable hour requirement of 120 hours per month
--- Requires in-person Court hearings in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Montgomery, and Harris Counties in Texas

Qualifications:

--- Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
--- Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
--- Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred
--- Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
--- Must be comfortable on camera for videos on relevant topics for social media
--- Must be able to work without a legal assistant or paralegal
--- Must be able to bill a minimum of 120 hours per month
--- Must have worked on family law issues for at least 5 years
--- Must be organized and self-motivated as this is a remote position
--- Must be licensed in the State of Texas
