Job SummaryProvide project management support by working closely
with Project Management Office, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing,
Accounting, Construction and Operations staff, outside consultants,
and suppliers. The person in this role assist in maintaining status
reports for schedules, material delivery, and other aspects of
electrical projects as necessary within the Electric area of
CenterPoint. Responsible for keeping all applicable parties aware
of any concerns or significant changes that may affect assigned
projects. This person is also required to participate in an
after-hours emergency response support and possible on-call
rotation for Generating Plant O&M support. Essential
Functions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Project Plans and
Schedules
- Coordinate business resource activities
- Work with Project Managers to coordinate change control, issue
management, risk management, status reporting, and project
planning.
- Task, Milestone, and Deliverables tracing for Project
Teams
- Assist Project Managers with resource planning, assignments,
time reporting, tracking, and reporting
- Organize, schedule, and conduct key meetings and Webex
conference calls.
- Coordinate project activities
- Maintain and track Issues, Action Items, and Risks
- Coordination of touchpoints with Project and Program Managers
as needed.
- Assist in the delivery of Project and Program products on time,
in scope and within budget.
- Assist in the development of materials and information to
support Executive Presentations and Reports
- Change Management process for implementation of new
infrastructure and application systems Education Description
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer
Science or related field
- or a combination of education and experience providing
equivalent competencies Experience
- Requires three to five (3-5) years of experience working with
